Thanks to this class, my own experience from the blog writing has changed my understanding of knowledge production and knowledge ownership. As Gary said, if we submitted our assignment in a paper, I will send it to the rubbish pile. However, by writing my paragraph on to my blog, I can’t send it to the rubbish pile. Therefore, I can see my paragraph again because it remain on my blog unless I delete my posting. Also, I usually neglect writing a proper citation. I didn't realize how much until I learn a citation in Gary class. Now that I've learned about citation, I will use all of citation if the knowledge is from outside source. Blog posting gave me both understanding of knowledge production and knowledge ownership.

This semester we have focused a lot on not
only producing knowledge, through blog posts and comments, but also knowledge
ownership, by using proper citation.

답글삭제It seems like I am not the only one who think citation was such a complicated job. However I think this was the way for us to actually realize how important it was to put a citation. If somebody uses one of our ideas without any permission or citation, I guess that would really disturb our feeling. I also keep in mind that ' if we submitted our assignment in a paper, I will send it to the rubbish pile. ‘Gary’s saying is actually so true that our writing will be meaningless then. It was really a helpful task for me and made me improve. I hope it was the same to you as well.

답글삭제I also totally agreed with Gary when he told why we write paragraph on our blog. At first, I didn't understand why he forced us to use blog. However, we can see all of our paragraph on our blog even after this semester. It's like a collection of our achievement. And we will have to use citation that Gary taught us.

답글삭제It is extremely vital for everyone to conserve knowledge created by someone. Unless we properly store our works requiring our considerable efforts, these will be just trash as you write by borrowing the Gary’s expression. Actually, I exactly did not know an importance of the producing knowledge and knowledge ownership. However, in this class, it would be a precious experience as you think.
